Our refinery plays a crucial role in our sugarcane-related activities. With state-of-the-art technology, we transform raw sugar crystals into the purest, finest quality white sugar, adhering to rigorous quality control standards. Our refinery has received numerous international accreditations, namely the Bonsucro and BRCGS certifications. Our refined white sugar is exported to Europe, East Africa and the UK. Innovative products with added benefits for our consumers, including low Glycemic Index (GI) and antioxidant-rich sugar, are also proudly produced under our Dina Life brand for the UAE and other international markets. By focusing on sustainable practices and innovation, our refinery operations contribute to a circular economy and reinforce our commitment to delivering excellence in the sugar sector.
Omnicane Refinery with a total yearly capacity of 250,000 tonnes of white refined sugar (WRS) stands as a major supplier of WRS to the EU and the regional markets. Launched in 2009, the refinery has continuously improved its operations to achieve a high level of quality and food safety of the final products. Production ranges from standard white refined sugar EECII to premium sugars like the Bottler’s grade ICU35 and ICU30, as well as an Extra Fine white sugar. With flexible packaging lines, the white refined sugar is delivered in 25 kg, 50 kg and in 1.0 to 1.2 tonnes bags. Taking advantage of the Rules of Origin, non-originating raw sugar is imported to be refined and exported to EU and COMESA countries, thus positioning Omnicane as a sugar refinery hub in the Indian Ocean.
