Omnicane Milling Operations Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for the following post:
ASSISTANT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Main Duties
- Assist the Production Supervisor and Production Lead for the operation and maintenance of the plant during the shift (including day and night, all year round).
- Participate in the budget preparation, planning and control of the allocated department.
- Collaborate with the refinery, distillery, weighbridge and power station personnel during operations.
- Monitor updating of required logs by factory personnel and updating of factory office logbooks.
- Assist the Production Supervisor and Production Lead in ensuring a clean and safe workplace
- Enforce and ascertain use of Personal Protective Equipment by personnel and issue of work permits.
- Operate equipment from a control room while on shift.
- Perform manual duties and supervise teams.

- Leadership and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated and result-oriented.
- Good communication skills.
- Ready to work on shift.
Qualifications
- Holder of a Higher School Certificate (HSC) or any alternative equivalent qualification.
- Holder of a Diploma in Engineering or alternative equivalent qualification.
- IT Conversant.
- Experience in the Sugar Industry or an industrial environment would be an advantage.
