Omnicane Milling Operations Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for the following post:
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Main Duties
- Design, install and maintain electrical systems and equipment within the sugar cluster including MV (medium voltage) Switchgears, Power Transformers, MV (medium voltage)/LV (low voltage) electric motors, MCC (Motor Control Centre) and control panels to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably.
- Ensure that all electrical systems and equipment comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Implement energy management strategies to optimise energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption within the sugar cluster including conducting energy audits, identifying energy-saving opportunities and implementing energy-efficient technologies.
- Provide training and guidance to electrical technician and operators on electrical systems and equipment.
- Manage projects within deadline and budget.

Qualifications
- BEng Electrical/Electronic Engineering, BSc in Electromechanical Engineering or any other alternative equivalent qualification with at least five years experience in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) would be an advantage.
