Omnicane Thermal Energy Operations (La Baraque) Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for the following post: Electrical Technician
Duties and Responsibilities
- Detect and report malfunctions and defects in electrical systems.
- Perform regular inspection and repair of all electrical equipment of the power plant.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities under his/her responsibility.
- Efficiently manage time and complete all assigned tasks.
- Train newly recruited personnel.
- Perform any other cognate duties as assigned by management.
Profile
- Sound knowledge in electrical engineering & instrumentation.
- Sound knowledge of power plant processes.
- Diligent in maintaining the cleanliness of the power plant.
- Understanding of safe working practice related to maintenance operations.
- Organisational skills.
- Team spirit and collaboration.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Fluent in English and French (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work on odd hours and public holidays.
Qualification and Experience
- Holder of a School Certificate (SC)/ Higher School Certificate (HSC) or any alternative equivalent qualification.
- Holder of a Brevet d’Études Professionnelles (BEP)/ Brevet de Technicien (BT) in Electricity/ Diploma/ Diplôme Universitaire de Sciences et
- Techniques (DUST)/ or alternative equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years` work experience in related field.
