Omnicane Milling Operations Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for the following post:
ELECTRICIAN
Main Duties
- Maintain electrical and process equipment in good working order. This involves periodic preventive maintenance and inspections of all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair of process and instrumentation equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computerized control equipment like PLCs, SCADA, weighing and similar system devices.
- Instruct operations personnel in proper use of electronic process instruments.
Profile
- Computer literate.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Holder of a School Certificate.
- Holder of a Brevet de Technicien (BT)/ Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS)/ National Certificate (NC) - Level 4 in Electricity or alternative equivalent qualification.
- Experience in an industrial environment would be an advantage.
