Omnicane Ethanol Production Ltd is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for the following post:
MECHANIC
Main Duties
- Perform daily maintenance routine check as per schedule.
- Check daily oil level in all relevant equipment & refill if necessary.
- Check pumps weekly for vibration and re-align if necessary.
- Grease periodically all relevant equipment as per maintenance schedule.
- Perform quick repairs on faulty equipment efficiently and in the shortest delay to minimize breakdown.
- Perform preventive maintenance service on all relevant equipment as per schedule.
- Ensure follow up of routine maintenance with the Maintenance Manager.
- Report any technical issues.
- Provide technical assistance to operators.
- Ensure availability of spares and consumables.
- Fill daily maintenance routine check logs.
Profile
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Team spirit and collaboration.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Flexible to work odd hours.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- IT conversant.
Qualifications
- Holder of a secondary level education certificate.
- Holder of BT (Brevet Technicien) en Mécanique or alternative equivalent qualification.
- At least one-year experience in an industrial environment.
