Omnicane Milling Operations Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for the following post:
MECHANIC
Main Duties
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager for maintenance planning and repairs work.
- Execute tasks assigned in maintenance planning/check lists and routine maintenance works.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor repair works involving structural welding and pipe fitting and assist in related rigging works.
- Ensure close follow up of Safety and Health procedures.
- Follow all quality and food safety recommendations.
- Replace mechanics on shift as and when required.
Profile
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Team spirit and collaboration.
- Proven competencies in Mechanical maintenance and repairs works.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Flexible to work odd hours.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- IT conversant.
- Good understanding of Safety & Health.
Qualifications
- Holder of an NC3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Holder of “Brevet de Technicien” (BT) in Mechanics or alternative equivalent qualification.
- Pipe fitting and welding experience will be a definite advantage.
